Enzi Statement On Joint Budget Resolution and Appointment of Budget Conferees
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY), Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, issued the following statement after Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced the conferees for the Fiscal Year 2016 Budget Conference:
“Last month, the Senate Budget Committee took an important first step in helping to change the way we do business here in Washington – by reporting out a balanced budget,” said Chairman Enzi. “This week, we take the next step and start work on a joint balanced budget resolution with our colleagues in the House that will expand America's economy and increase opportunities for hardworking families. A balanced budget approved by Congress will help make the government live within its means and set spending limits for our nation. I look forward to joining my colleagues in both the Senate and House as we take this next step in delivering a government that is more accountable to each and every American.”
