Graham on Record High Inflation

High inflation a result of bad Biden Administration policy choices

WASHINGTON – Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today made this statement on inflation hitting 8.5 percent in March.

“Just when you think it can’t get worse, it does. Biden inflation is at record levels and Americans are suffering. Fuel prices are up. Prices at the grocery store have skyrocketed. The price of just about everything in America is going up at a record rate and hitting regular working individuals and families hard. Biden’s policies are failing and Americans are paying the price. 

“If the Biden Administration truly wants to find the cause of record high inflation all they have to do is look in the mirror. These dramatic, record-setting increases in inflation weren’t caused by Vladimir Putin, but by the bad choices of President Biden and the Democrats who control Congress.

“When they declare war on oil and gas, Americans end up with higher prices at the pump. When they spend with no end in sight, they drive up costs for average Americans and allow inflation to take a larger and larger chunk out of Americans’ hard-earned wages. When they adopt a weak foreign policy that invites the bad guys to take action, we get a troubled and dangerous world.

“If you want inflation to go down, Americans will have to change leadership. The blame for skyrocketing inflation lies squarely at the feet of Democrats who control Congress and the White House.  As long as they are in charge, Americans will suffer from their policies.”
